# Bellwrit

> The compliance layer for outbound AI calls. Consent, disclosure, and an auditable receipt built into the workflow.

Bellwrit is your outbound, receipted. It supports authorized outbound calling only; it is not an inbound calling service, receptionist replacement, or receptionist overlay. Live requests to POST /api/v1/calls can place an outbound call through Retell, while the signed-in dashboard sandbox records provider-free simulations. Stored call lifecycle records are HMAC-SHA256 signed and available in protected account detail when recorded. A public audit receipt requires a separate receipt token; call creation does not issue one for every call.
